Description:
This is one of the most classic lines in skaha, as it is the first obviously climbable wall from the lower trail. The line takes the bullet hard glacier polished white gneiss and it requires multiple pulls on small crimps.

KrisM: After the last bolt before the anchor, it's an intense battle over the bulge. You wish it was a jug haul, but it's not.

This is about as nice as sport climbing gets. Beautiful views, a couple of no hands rests, and well spaced bolts for a safe but exciting experience. Would love to climb it again.

Good introduction of what Skaha is about, techy crimpy face climbs where you have to commit to high rock-overs to find the next holds. Beware the big runnout over the horrizontal break, protects well with a .5 BD cam. My 65m ish rope got us back down to the ground.

Definitely at least 5.10a when you end up with 3 extra draws at the top. Went directly up the face rather than breaking right.

Bring a cam if you're a 5.6 climber -
+8 in mid-january. Nothing but sunshine and the sweet sound of clipping draws with Benjamin. -

5.7 run up traverse to first bolt, few good ledges to shake out on, clear holds but long draw half way up helped for reachy bolt, juggy finish through roof to anchors, gorgeous Shaka lake view, bit daunting in the wind

2015-10-10A Skaha classic! Some people bring a .5 or .75 cam for the middle section but it's not necessary. Fun face climbing.

This was the first 5.9 I tried outside. I was terrified and felt exposed even on tr! Ha, felt a lot more fun this time around. -
2014-06-29If you are not into runouts, then take a piece of pro to put in the crack. Other than that, great climb, good warm-up, good luck catching it while it is in the shade. -
Super fun. Wish that wall at the top was connected and made this somewhat harder...hmmm a harder plum line? Is it possible??? -
