Struggled with the top out in the past, finally found a method today after much experimentation.

Mantle felt casual once I figured it out but I did a Mr. Bean foot slip on the VB slab at the end lol -
First time really checking out the Mantel Madness area. That sure is one hell of a mantel!! -
Took a couple tries to figure out how to not hit the rock on the right when making the first move -

Hardest part was not dabbing on the first move.

Really enjoyed this, very fun powerful moves down low to an insecure but easy mantle. First v8 in a while, psyched.

Wow. flashed to part-way through the mantel ... and then decided to drop and bring a spotter into the mix. .. Lots of dirt and needles etc on the top. The slab T/O felt super sketchy for me haha . Moreso than the mantel. Spooky experience -
Really fun. Sick moves on this one with kind of a mantle crux once you figure out how not to dab the first move. Find your feet for the slab. You dont want to fall from up there especially when its wet -

Book description wrong for start holds, makes the problem a much more solid 8 as that first pull is pretty tough.

Was trying the arete for the mantel until andyliu84 graced us with some awesome hand switch beta. Went quickly after that. Hard first move and some true squamish slopes

Lip crimps to tricky top out. 2nd go. -
Freeman flash and first v8! Had a solid first session sorting beta. Climbed really well.

First go after sticking the first move. The mantel was probably not a pretty sight. -
3rd try, first try when I got to the mantle top out crux :). This problem was made for me, anything with dynamic moves to slopers usually means CRUSH. ABSOLUTELY FUNNNNNNNNNN. -
Just gotta get the first move and like to mantle!
